Bad Neualbenreuth lies at the foot of the Tillenberg hill, which is steeped in legend. The Tillenberg, the natural border with the Czech Republic, has become a connecting link between the two countries, as clearly depicted in the fountain.

The historic town of Bad Neualbenreuth is idyllically nestled in a hilly landscape. Preserved half-timbered farms from the Egerland region, the local history museum, and the baroque church bear witness to a vibrant, historic past. Every year at Pentecost, Thus is a festival. The weir is opened and the waterfall flows. A little further on, you'll find the overflow, which creates another waterfall, for example, when the snow melts. The stream was artificially created to supply the Thusmühle (mill) with water.

The covered wooden footbridge, rebuilt in 1949 and reinforced in 1985, measures a total of 40 m. Together, there are two banks of the Ohře River. On one side is the so-called Landscape for Cultural Activities, on the other side is an outdoor sports center.
