The castle is mentioned in a document as early as 1389. It was burned down in 1504. The closed four-wing building with corner towers and gate tower was built from 1594 to 1620 on the medieval foundation walls.
A great facility - inhabited. The polygonal main building stands on a circular island, completely surrounded by the moat. You can take a look at the palace complex from different points of view.
On the wall of the house there is a notice board with information about the old castle in Hauzenbergersöll. The plaque was put up by the Heimat- und Gartenverein.
