The closed four-winged building with corner towers and gate tower was built between 1594 and 1620 by Sebastian and his heir Ferdinand von Haunsperg on medieval foundations. Above the village of Au am Inn on the Stampflberg, you have a unique view of the Au monastery and the Inn loop. And right at the top is the ram lock. It is also called "Burg Megling" and consists only of the keep of the former palace complex.
