A good tip is the inn in Sveti Duh. Especially in the hot months, this hike through the forest and along the water is good.

ideal, albeit demanding, tour for hot summer days. The final part in particular is very steep, but also very well secured. Once you get to the top, you can expect excellent gastronomy on both the Austrian and Slovenian sides. The gorge is not suitable for normal hikers on the way back. But there is also a very nice, easy way back with a Buschenschank on the way; Apple strudel, bratwurst etc. all homemade. Eckhart
