Dont bother with this walk. You get all the way to the half way point and the gate is locked. It is not a circular walk. When we walked back we had a look at the other entrance to Wetherby Grange and it has a large sign telling you it is private property and no public access. Waste of an afternoon.

Lovely little cafe specialising in cakes (hence the name!). Also excellent coffee using North Star beans and good savouries. Quite small but a few outside tables and dog friendly too. I think they take bookings.

This historic bridge dates back to 1770 and links the West Yorkshire village of Boston Spa with Thorpe Arch. It's a particularly pretty stone bridge that creates a lovely scene as you're passing by the River Wharfe. If you're passing over the bridge, you're afforded fantastic views up and down the waterway.

The origins of the Wetherby weir trace back to the 12th century. In 1982, the Wetherby Weir Preservation Trust embarked on a mission to restore and safeguard this historic structure, unearthing its significance, and commencing the journey toward its preservation. The effort led to the discovery of its history in 1991.

Honouring Oswald of Northumbria, an Anglo-Saxon saint, this church finds its roots in the Saxon era. Subsequently, it underwent reconstruction during the 15th century, followed by a comprehensive restoration and expansion between 1840 and 1841. The tower's construction took place in the 16th century, while its clock found its home in 1891. Within the churchyard rest the graves of notable figures such as Major General James Gunter (1833–1908), a valiant participant in the Crimean War, and Benjamin Eamonson (died 1867), who dutifully served as the vicar for an impressive span of 29 years.

Wetherby Bridge stands as a testament to history, designated as a scheduled monument and bestowed with Grade II-listed status. This ancient bridge gracefully spans the River Wharfe in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, with origins tracing back to the 13th century. Serving as a vital link, the bridge binds Micklethwaite on the southern bank to the heart of the town on the northern side.
