The path around the reservoir is worthwhile. It's used by many runners and dog walkers. Unfortunately, the reservoir is currently low on water.

As the sun was shining and someone was navigating the water on a small rowing boat; this did not feel like a reservoir at all. For a short moment; I though I was on holiday, walking around a beautiful natural lake.

The Witton Weavers Way is four loops which link together to create a 33 mile (53km) long distance footpath. The whole thing is a big loop from Witton Park, Lancashire. This section walks between Turton Heights and the reservoir.

This is a lovely bridge crossing between the two Roddlesworth Reservoir's. You're surrounded by gorgeous woodland and plenty of wildlife. Dog-walkers are welcome, as long as you keep the pups on a lead.
