Avon Dassett Reading Room is owned and managed by the Parish Council. The Reading Room was given to the village as a gift from Thomas Perry the owner of Bitham Hall in 1898.

This well is a bit of an enigma, in the deserted Burton Dassett village in Northend, is found a substantial well head which has claims to be a ‘Holy Well’  although the provenance is unclear. Burgess (1876) in his Warwickshire History simply notes that it was used for baptism and immersion. Whilst Bord and Bord (1985) Sacred Waters appear to be earliest to refer to it as such stating: “the holy well with its stone cover will be seen on the left-hand side of the lane as you approach the church”.                                            The present stone well house is of a considerable size being constructed of local red sandstone around 1840 in a Grecian style. The central doorway is party below ground level and has steps down into a square chamber. Over the stone lintel but the worn instruction is an inscription with carved flowers. It possibly states 1534 but it was not clear. It is evident that the well was part of an estate improvement but when and by whom? And did it exist before? If it does say 1534 that is an early date for a landed estate improvement. It certainly is still visited by well wishers as coins are found in its waters. Sadly, despite a substantial water supply it did not stop the demise of the village and now only the substantial church remains, which incidentally is worthy of a visit.

A circular earthwork is clearly visible on the ground on Harts Hill. It measures approximately 15m internal diameter, the ditch is 2m wide and the entrance (facing SE) is 2.5m across.

There is documentary evidence for a windmill here from the Post Medieval period and possibly earlier. It was of the post mill type and was restored in the 1930s but blew down in the 1946. It was at Windmill Hill. The beacon is what is left.

All Saints is a Grade I-listed church in a picturesque setting on the Burton Dassett Hills. The church has 12th-century origins. However, the chancel and transepts are early 13th century and the tower and porch are early 14th century. Inside, you can observe 13th-century wall paintings, medieval tiles and tombs from the 16th and 17th centuries.

Burton Dassett Hills Country Park boasts 100 acres (40 ha) of rolling hills with breathtaking panoramic views. On a clear day, views stretch beyond Coventry. Opened in 1971, the park contains many historical sites, including the ironstone quarry remains and the 12th-century All Saints Church.

Fenny Marina is a lovely spot on the Oxford Canal, surrounded by beautiful countryside. If you're feeling hungry, pub classics are served just up the canal at the Wharf Inn, which also offers camping pitches. A stroll into the village of Fenny Compton brings you to the award-winning Merrie Lion pub. There's also a Co-op for stocking up on supplies.

All Saints' is a most beautiful and captivating Norman church. Totally unspoilt, it was built in the 12th Century and in 2009 underwent an enormous restoration project to preserve and restore some of its medieval wall paintings. It is a very spiritual and tranquil place, of historical and architectural interest. The first Burton Dassett church pre-dates the Domesday Survey, which chronicles the existence of a small church. This occupied an area covered by the nave of the present church. Under Norman rule the Saxon Lord Harold de Sudeley (whose principal seat was at Sudeley in Gloucestershire) was allowed to keep the 1800 acres of land he held in these parts. The other landowner was the Earl of Mellent who held 600 acres. The parish consisted of Great Dassett, Little Dassett, Northend, Southend, Knightcote (which had a chapel and a priest) and Hardwick, where the DSDA Army Camp now stands. The population was around 350. The huge north and south doorways are the oldest parts of Burton Dassett (All-Saints) Church and probably date from Harold de Sudeley’s time. As the de Sudeley family continued to prosper, itsBD-Church interest in the church and village continued. The church’s chancel arch dates from the time of Ralph de Sudeley, grandson of Harold. This is typically transitional Norman and dates from the late 12th Century.

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Avon Dassett was built by Joseph Knight of the neighbouring Bitham House in 1854. The architect was Thomas Meyer of London.8243 St. Joseph’s was established as the parish church in 1855 and consecrated in the same year. It remained the parish church until 1971 when Kineton became the home of the parish priest.

St John the Baptist's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Avon Dassett, Warwickshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of The Churches Conservation Trust. The present church was built in 1868 on the site of an earlier church dating from the Norman era. The architect was Charles Buckeridge. The church was declared redundant on 11 May 1983, and was vested in the Churches Conservation Trust. It is still used occasionally for concerts or community events. Between May 2007 and September 2008 work was carried out on the spire at a cost of about £700,000, with the result that the church bells were rung on 21 February 2009, the first time for some decades.

The church of St Peter and St Clare was built during the Medieval period and was restored in 1879. Chancel, nave, N and S aisles, N porch, and W tower with spire. The earliest features are the chancel arch and part of the N arcading, dating from c 1320-30; the chancel was rebuilt then and a N side added to an existing nave. The aisle and arcade were rebuilt late in 14th century, when the W tower and spire and N porch were added. The nave clearstory was raised in the early 16th century. The building was restored in 1879. The church is first recorded in the reign of Henry I (1100-1135). A case in the church contains fragments of Medieval stained glass recovered when the N aisle was excavated in 1879.

The site comprises a series of rugged hilltops affording spectacular views in all directions and Fox Covert, a small woodland with a surfaced footpath. Opened as a country park in 1971, the 100 acres contain a wealth of historical interest such as the prominent beacon, quarry remains and the nearby 12th Century All Saints Church.
