The church in Shiplake was dedicated to the two Saints PETER & PAUL, also known as the "Prince of the Apostles". Their common feast day in the calendar of saints is June 29th for all major denominations. * Simon, nicknamed Peter (Rock), was a fisherman on Lake Genesareth when he - together with his brother Andrew - was called by Jesus Christ to be a "fisher of men". Hurley Chalk Pit is a beautiful nature reserve located not too far from Maidenhead in Berkshire. The reserve is made up of stunning beech woodland and chalk grasslands that provide habitat to a wide diversity of wildlife, including 15 species of butterflies.

Enjoy breathtaking views over Knowl Hill & the surrounding countryside. If you look closely, you'll be able to spot the two chimneys at the old brickworks in Knowl Hill.
