This point marks the top of the paved hill through the court. A good climb to get started and learn how to use your gears. Watch out for the speed bumps when going down.

This highlight is very much in the wrong location but if you go down through Abbots Leigh and then up a hill you will eventually get there.

A great traffic free way to get through Bristol

The location of a manor house ever since the 11th century, Ashton Court and its extensive estate is a grand setting to the west of Bristol. Owned by the Smyth family between the 16th and 20th centuries, today the mansion and its stables are Grade I-listed. The surrounding estate includes a deer park, woodland, MTB trails and golfing facilities and is an absolute delight to explore, rewarding with fine views across Bristol. After a run in the parkland, the Courtyard Cafe is a tempting option.

Ashton Court rewards with panoramic views across Bristol. Many of the city's landmarks are visible, including Ashton Gate Stadium and Brandon Hill. On the far horizon you can see the distinctive clump of trees that adorn the top of Kelston Roundhill above Bath.

A lovely place to walk and cycle, with great views over Bristol and herds of deer, and a cafe too

Beautiful countryside estate just a few minutes ride from Bristol city centre. The estate has a manor house with a little cafe attached and toilets. The gardens are open to the public and feature some interesting new sculptures. The grounds have a range of bridleways if you fancy getting off the tarmac and great MTB trails if you want to switch it up completely. There's also football golf, frisbee golf and MTB hire!

Really nice gravel climb out (heading away from Clifton Bridge). Great surface. Great views.

The Greedy Goose and Gatcombe Farm Shop at the bottom of the road. Great for a fry up, lunch or coffee etc etc

Just about doable on a road bike, but you'll probably want a gravel bike.
