Donyatt Halt Records for Donyatt Halt state: "This halt, opened on May 5th, 1928, has a single platform edged with wooden sleepers, and a small wooden shelter. A pathway leads up from the platform to the road, which crosses the line by an overbridge at the Ilminster end of the platform. It is being developed into a nature reserve, has a footpath running through it and a couple of benches should you want to take a picnic down there or just sit and enjoy the countryside all around you. The area is left as natural as possible with trees and wild flowers. There are picnic benches.

The site is mainly used for military helicopter exercises, and there are a large number of lettered helicopter landing spots spread across the site on the taxiways. (Wikipedia)
