요새(1611)는 1689년에 두 차례의 심한 포위를 견뎌냈지만(자코바이트 전쟁 중) 1764년에 파괴적인 화재로 완전히 파괴되었습니다. 순환 경로는 유적 옆을 지나갑니다.

엔니스키렌 남쪽, 어퍼 러프 어른 호수의 호수 풍경 속에 오늘날에도 어른 백작 가문이 사적으로 소유하고 있는 크롬 성이 있습니다. 오래된 성(1611년)의 폐허와 (아일랜드에서 가장 오래된 나무로 여겨지는) 두 그루의 오래된 주목이 공원에서 방문객을 맞이합니다. 1840년 빅토리아 시대 네오 튜더 양식으로 지어진 새 성(크롬 성)은 개인 소유입니다. 서쪽 별관은 특별한 결혼식, 행사 또는 고급 휴가 숙박 시설로 임대할 수 있습니다.

Managed by the National Trust, the Crom Estate is a large nature reserve of woodlands, lake, castle ruins and islands. It is an important habitat for pine martens, bats, deer, red squirrels and butterflies. There is a coffee shop at the estate and if you fancy something different you can hire a boat to explore the lough. There is a great view from the car park, but even better, park up your bike and take the short trail to the hiking viewpoint. There you can marvel at the panoramic views across County Fermanagh and County Monaghan. Take a seat in the oversized chair and enjoy. Especially lovely at sunrise and sunset.

Crom Castle is situated within a 1,900 acre estate in County Fermanagh. It's an elegant 17th-century castle existing amongst a beautiful landscape of islands, woodlands, and historical ruins.

The Crom Castle estate boathouse sits on the shore of Lough Erne below the main castle. The views out on onto the water from the boathouse are splendid, the perfect spot to pull up a picnic blanket and enjoy some relaxation.

This is an extraordinarily wild and scenic part of Northern Ireland. The lough appears on your right as you travel down Carnmore Road against a backdrop of vibrant green coniferous forest.

This mountain lake in Doon Forest is reputed for good brown trout fishing. Anglers can wade on one side of the shore. This lough provides excellent fishing from a boat also.
