The old bridge is picturesque, and its also a great place to while away an hour or two by the river.

By far the highlight of this section of the Wychavon Way. Very pleasant place, but it is on the flood plain and so is not accessible when the Avon is in flood.

Park free at the bridge. Make sure you walk to Wick and back. Footpath starts at the old bridge, then across field to the village.

Very muddy by the river in winter so wear good shoes!

This was a key crossing point for traders between London and Worcester. Originally built in the 1400s, various repairs have taken place over the centuries to create the grand structure we see today. With Norman, Gothic and Victorian architecture all vying for your attention, it is no wonder the abbey is so popular with visitors to Pershore. Its Abbey Park makes for a lovely afternoon stroll.

Often referred to as Pershore Meadows, Avon Meadows Community Wetland was created in the wake of the devastating floods of 2007 in order to reduce the impact of future flooding events. Nestled on the banks of the River Avon, this nature reserve is a glorious place for lovers of wildlife. An array of footpaths and boardwalks allow you to get close to the action. There is no parking in the winter months, as the area is often under water.
