in 1991 all that was left of the Ice House at Greys Court was the brick wall, filled with rubbish, collapsing in places. On the ground surrounding the Ice House lay fragments of wall and timber. From the available evidence, it was possible to make some pretty good guesses about the original form of the Ice House. The roof must and thatch and the flints that remain would have collapsed at the top of the Ice House walls.
