Great pub run by Dave and Nic. Great food and company. Stop by for breakfast or lunch. You can park in carpark if you stop for drinks after.

Probably the highest spot on the walk, open and breezy with a panoramic view of the Mersey estuary. You deserve a breather here!

There's a new tap room at the brewery...with plenty of beer and spirits available! You can get coffee or a soft drink, but there's not a huge selection...and the only food available is crisps. However, if you're passing this way on your route then it's a nice place to stop ,particularly if its sunny, as there are bench tables outside.

Helsby Hill is an Iron Age hillfort commanding a prominent position above Helsby village and grand views in all directions. Combining both natural and human-made features, steep cliffs on the northern and western sides would have provided a natural semicircular defence, while double rampart earthworks to the south and east would have provided protection to those sides.

Do not miss the lovely bit of off-road riding hidden alongside the A51 Tarvin By-pass!
