beautiful rolling mountain road that leads to this mining town

Sitting close to the North Macedonian border and Mount Korabi, the smallest village of Rabdisht has just one guest house (amazing) and has a range of hiking paths and cycling tracks close by.

When the conditions are wet this path becomes extremely wet. The road is a very tough section. But it is definitely rideable.

The large tunnel is closed to cyclists from both sides. From Bequize, it may be possible to cycle through it, but there is a prohibition sign.

Signposts with marked hikes, including the start of the hike to Korab. A few meters away there is a guesthouse and a hotel from which you can start the hikes early in the morning.

The Rruga e Arbërit is a well-paved road. I drove it on a Sunday and it wasn't that busy. But I can imagine that it's different on other days. Most of the time there was a shoulder about 1m wide, except for tunnels and bridges. In tunnels you can lift your bike onto the footpath, but there is often some rubbish lying around or there are huge holes that you can fall into. Be careful. Also very nice views and lots of stands where you can buy fruit.
