This tower was built to provide nesting and roosting for birds and bats. At ground level you will find a seated shelter for humans to get out of the wind and rain, or just a place to sit and contemplate man's relationship with the natural world.

Suitable walk for all..refreshing winds on the salt marshes

Wrangle Mill is a Grade II listed mill worked by wind until the 1930s. After this, it was used as an electric hammer mill and has now been converted into a home. Although it's situated on private land, you can see the mill from the road.

Frampton Marsh features a variety of freshwater habitats and provides close views of the rich birdlife of The Wash. Look out for avocets, redshanks, skylarks and whimbrels in summer. In the winter you'll see thousands of ducks gathering on the freshwater scrapes. This area is one of Europe's most important places for wildlife.

Benton's Bridge stretches across the North Forty Foot Drain and provides some lovely views up and down the waterway.

This 15 hectare saline lagoon was created to protect the abundance of fantastic birdlife that resides in this area. There is a bird hide located on the lagoon where you can try your luck spotting some of the local favourites including Black-tailed Godwit's, Brent Geese, and the Hen Harrier.

Constructed in 1948, Nunn's Bridge is the first prestressed concrete bridge to be built in Britain. From the bridge, you can enjoy extensive views down Hobhole Drain toward The Haven river.

A small visitor centre providing light refreshments and toilets to the public. The visitor centre charges £3 entry for those wishing to explore the reserve for the day, and parking is included in this small fee.

The 360 hide allows you to get up close and personal with some of the fantastic birdlife that resides in this marsh. Expect to see Little Egret's, Great-crested Glebe's, and Avocet's amongst many others.

Here a small granite obelisk marks the spot where a group of Puritans attempted to flee to religious freedom in 1607.

Freiston Shore RSPB reserve extends into the "wilderness" of The Wash, one of the UK’s most important estuaries for wildlife. Here you can get excellent views of large groups of waders on the salt water lagoon at high tide. Tree sparrows, yellowhammers and skylarks are common around the reserve throughout the year, with mad march hares in spring, ringed plovers in summer and brent geese and hunting harriers in winter. Pack a pair of binoculars!
