A charming 19th-century pedestrian tunnel, originally part of the old "sentier de l'Hayette-Robinette" that ran through the Château de la Folie estate around 1859. When the path was moved outside the castle walls, the tunnel was created, later given the romantic name "Tunnel des Amoureux" by Marcel Tricot, the founder of the Goûter Matrimonial.

There are several small bridges over the Mark River. However, none are for motorized traffic. The Mark Valley is a development-free zone here, and one bank lies within the De Rietbeemd nature reserve.

The funny thing about this bridge is that it leads nowhere. There's no connection to the bridge.

Even in mid-August, during the rather dry summer of 2025, the path was quite boggy in places. Deep ruts from agricultural and forestry vehicles had turned into large puddles.

The Mark (in French: Le Marcq), a tributary of the Dender, meanders along the language border. The name "Mark," incidentally, refers to the Gothic word "marka," meaning "border" or "limit." However, this bridge doesn't take you from one language region to the other: here, the Mark lies entirely within the Walloon municipality of Deux-Acren (part of Lessines).

Actually, the cobblestone section isn't even a bridge over the Mark, but rather over the embankment/dike next to the Mark. The bridge itself isn't cobbled.
