Spitakavor is a unique 14th century monastery perched on a cliff near Vernashen

Noravank is considered one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia. Reddish facades, reddish stone - in the warm red light of the setting sun, the monastery is almost indistinguishable from its rocky surroundings. The architectural subtleties of the Armenian architecture of the 13th century and also magnificent reliefs give the monastery a special beauty. The churches of St. Karapet (Church of the Baptist), St. Luzavoritsch (Gregory the Illuminator) and the two-story Church of Our Lady form the monastery complex.
