Castros... Strategically located and with breathtaking views, the so-called "castros" are fortified settlements where the ancient inhabitants of Galicia took refuge in times of war. But the Galician castros also had a particularly magical dimension, as they were located in high areas, which were believed to facilitate contact with heaven and the afterlife. This type of dwelling - vestiges of Celtic culture - was used for thousands of years (from the 6th century BC to the 6th century AD) and there are hundreds of open-air castro excavations in Galicia and countless others that have not yet been discovered.

Fantastic panoramic view especially recommended for sunset. Access relatively easy and short. Moderate incline.

Beautiful secluded beach. Access possible via different ways. There is a large parking lot above the beach. Access but unpaved over rough gravel road including potholes. If you want to hike, I recommend the "Senda da Costa" coastal path, which runs below and almost parallel to the gravel road.

Built in 1853, it is made up of a cylindrical masonry tower with a gallery and without a lantern, and lights on a mast. It is painted white and three superimposed quadrangular windows stand out.

It is public property and dates from 1918. It can be accessed without any difficulty on foot, by any of the paths that run through Cabo Home, being a short distance from the Cabo Home lighthouse. Its light emits with a range of 12 km.

Above we will see the excavations of the castrexo town known as Berobriga. Almost fifty circular dwellings can be seen, of which a few acquire unusual measures of between five and seven meters in diameter and above all an endless number of stones spilled all over the hillside from the dwellings and walls that surrounded the enclosure.

The scarce 160 m above sea level of Monte do Facho are not a problem because from the top you can see a whole world; From Cabo Silleiro in Baiona, passing through the entire mouth of the Ría de Vigo, the Cíes Islands that seem just a stone's throw from here, the Ría de Pontevedra with the Ons Islands, the entire Costa de la Vela, Finisterre and especially the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean.

Although it has a lighthouse structure, it is actually a leading marker that, together with another almost twin structure a few kilometers further south, at Punta Subrido, marks the entrance channel to the estuary and port of Vigo between the Island of Monteagudo in the Cíes and the Costa da Vela.

Located between Cabo Home and Punta Subrido, it is the second of the lighthouses located at the end of Cabo Home, much flatter than the previous one. It consists of a cylindrical stone tower, with a small terrace overlooking the estuary. Its red color makes it easily identifiable.
