The middle parts of thus walk are very difficult to navigate and even get into problems. Large parts of the so called path are non-existent. I would advise extreme caution, if assuming this is an easy route.

Warning, the trail is not easy, rather moderately difficult. Good footwear is required.

Scourie Beach is a stunning large sand and shingle beach located in the small seaside village of Scourie in Scotland's northwest Sunderland. A flat and paved road follows the shore of the beach, providing uninterrupted views out to the Atlantic Ocean.

The River Laxford is a remote river located in the far northwest Highlands of Scotland. Although far away from much goings-on, the river is still very productive, and is part of a local project to restore salmon and sea trout populations. This footpath along the river will afford you breathaking views of the surrounding wild landscapes, including over to some of the well-known mountains of the area, such as Arkle and Ben Stack.

This pleasant footpath leads you up the River Laxford Estuary to Laxford Bay. This is a really remote part of the far Northwest Highlands of Scotland where you can really feel you're far away from civilization.

Awesome views south-west towards Old Man of Stoer.

A large sandy and shingle beach on the wild Scottish coast. It's signed from the village and there are wildlife hides so that you can watch the birds and other animals from shelter.
