Cafe Reinert, we always enjoy it, and we love sitting outside. The outdoor seating by the fountain is wonderfully comfortable. The baked goods are excellent: cakes and pastries, ice cream, and drinks. We love visiting Cafe Reinert in the center of Widdern. There's always something going on here, not hectic, but lively. And, as a bonus, you can pick up any bread rolls or rolls you need for home or an excursion. Widdern's numerous hiking trails are nearby and well signposted. It's a perfect fit. The wind farm consists of 18 Enercon E-115 wind turbines with a total output of 54.9 MW. The wind farm is operated by ZEAG Energie AG, and the municipalities of Hardthausen am Kocher, Widdern, Möckmühl, Forchtenberg and Jagsthausen are involved. A special feature of this project is the close cooperation with the municipalities and citizens. Through the model of a citizens' energy cooperative, citizens and associations also participate in the profits from the wind turbines. The wind farm was built in several stages and has been fully operational since the end of 2018. The Harthäuser Wald wind farm is an example of how the energy transition can be designed successfully and in harmony with people and nature.
