The Boat Inn is a cozy pub and restaurant on the shores of Kielder Water, nestled in the heart of Leaplish Waterside Park. With panoramic lake views and a warm, wood-accented interior, it's a popular stop for cyclists on the Reivers Route. The menu offers a mix of British classics, vegetarian options, and local specialties—from fish and chips to wild mushroom risotto and sticky toffee pudding. The pub is dog-friendly, has ample indoor and outdoor seating, and is connected to the Landal Kielder Waterside resort, where the Osprey Ferry also docks.

The Tower Knowe Visitor Centre, run by Kielder Water & Forest Park, is an information center and café on the banks of Kielder Water. The café is a great place to refuel if you're walking the 42-kilometer Lakeside Way, or a good starting and finishing point for a shorter run. The café is open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with food served from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Lakeside Pine Trail is a charming section of the Lakeside Way, winding along the southern shore of Kielder Water. This section is known for its pine-rich woodland, fresh air, and panoramic views of the lake. The trail combines old asphalt roads with gravel and woodland, offering a peaceful ride for recreational cyclists, walkers, and nature lovers.

At the Kielder Dam spillway, three striking stones—known as the Waterstones—commemorate the reservoir's official opening by Queen Elizabeth II in May 1982. This understated art installation offers views of the vast water, the imposing valve tower, and the technical heart of England's largest hydroelectric system. Cyclists following the Reivers Route will find a place where art, nature, and infrastructure converge—a brief stop that invites reflection and a photo with royal flair.
