Thames Street in Sudbury-on-Thames has a wide pavement and great views of the river. Look across the river to Sunbury Locks and upstream to the weir. The Thames Path long distance walking trail follows the opposite bank here and the Walled Garden is behind you.

Extremely dog friendly! Nice pub with friendly service right on the Thames. If you don't like it here: there are numerous other places to stop for refreshments within a few 100m!

English people love their dogs. Especially the English women. This café in a sophisticated cricket club shows special concern for its target group. Hardly any table is missing an English lady with her four-legged friend. Of course, the menu includes the Dog Menu with Dog Sausage, Dog Pan Cakes and an ice cream especially for dogs.
