The Chapel The thatched-roof chapel was designed by architect Klemens Weigel in the style of a sheepfold. The reeds for the roof were generously donated by Heinz, a reed-processing entrepreneur from the lakeside promenade. The thatched-roof chapel was consecrated on April 26, 1953. It has been a listed building since 1971. With the name "Am Groß-Glienicke See" (At Lake Groß Glienicke), the new parish maintained a connection to its "mother parish."

The property with extensively restored houses of the former Jägerhof and today's Institute for Inland Fisheries e.V. Potsdam-Sacrow is located directly on Lake Sacrow. The small, beautiful spire/house top of the Jägerhof is striking. It was built in 1904 for the brother-in-law of the German Emperor Wilhelm II as a "hunting establishment". Hunting dogs were mainly kept and trained here. After the emperor's expropriation, the Prussian state took over the lake and the Jägerhof in 1918. In 1922, the Prussian State Institute for Fisheries in Berlin-Friedrichshagen leased the property. In 1929, it became state property and has remained a fisheries research facility to this day.

Otto Wollank acquired the Groß Glienicke manor in 1890. At that time it was around 1,000 hectares in size and extended around the Groß Glienicker See and on the site of today's Gatow Airport. The estate was managed using new agricultural methods and was soon described as a model agricultural estate. Wollank also founded social institutions such as a school and a kindergarten, which were ultimately decisive for his elevation to the nobility. From 1913 he could therefore call himself von Wollank. The estate later ran into economic difficulties and a lot of land had to be leased out. These included riverside plots for rich Berliners and later also the grounds of Gatow Airport. In 1929, Otto von Wollank and his wife died in a car accident.

The Groß Glienicke estate park is a landscape park that originally belonged to the Groß Glienicke manor at the northern end of the Groß Glienicker See. The manor belonged to various noble families from Brandenburg. After the property changed hands frequently between 1375 and 1927, the manor house finally burned down in the autumn of 1945. The demarcation of the border divided the estate into a "western" and "eastern" part. The creation of a "death strip" along the border after 1961 led to the partial destruction of the park. Today, the value of the park is considered high due to the numerous trees that date back to the time of its creation.

The border between West Berlin and the GDR used to run through the middle of the lake. It was marked by buoys. West Berliners were allowed to swim in the lake up to these buoys and walk on the ice in winter. Access was forbidden to GDR citizens - the Gross Glienicker See was practically part of the Wall.
