This memorial stone is part of a larger memorial that also honors the victims of the Second World War. In addition to the main memorial, several plaques with the names of those who died in the First World War are located in the porch of the church. The inscription on the First World War memorial stone reads: "In memory of the fallen of the World War 1914-1918. - We remember the relatives who fell in the Second World War, who were missing, or who died of their wounds. (Names) We will honor the memory of all of them." The names of those who died in the First World War are listed on the plaques in the church porch and on the memorial stone in the cemetery.

“Fürsten Werden, formerly Vorstenwerder (1375 – Vorderstes Werder) was first mentioned in documents in 1319 and developed into a not insignificant town. Because of its border location, the place was fortified and received an approximately 1,200 meter long city wall with numerous Wiekhäuser and three city gates, two of which are still preserved (Woldegker Tor and Berliner Tor). The Prenzlauer Tor was demolished in 1878 due to the construction of the road from Prenzlau towards Woldegk. Fürstenwerder is the first place in Brandenburg that visitors from the direction of Woldegk see from Mecklenburg. The gate and wall immediately catch your eye and awaken your desire for further discoveries.
