Lies on a meadow. Accessibility depends on the condition of the meadow. It is the grave "Wanna 16". It is missing from many maps and lists.

Only accessible if the meadow is accessible. Doesn't look spectacular. So only something for people with an in-depth interest in archaeology. An excavation would be carried out here in 2019. It is listed in relevant lists as "Grab Wanna 15".

A four meter high lookout tower on the northern shore offers a view of the lake, its flora and fauna and a forest area spreading south of the lake on the Geest. Numerous species of birds nest at the lake. Whooper swans are often seen in winter.

The extensive reed beds, swamps and forests along the banks provide a habitat for many endangered animal and plant species. On the circular route, visitors can experience the varied lake landscape with its adjoining moor areas. Three observation towers can be reached from the circular route.

Experiencing nature up close - with this guiding principle, the nature conservation foundation of the district of Cuxhaven has launched a project to make the Ahlenmoor with its plants and animals as well as its moors, lakes, hiking trails and observation towers even more attractive. A total of 2.75 million euros will flow into the approximately 40 square kilometer area in the heart of the Cuxland. Good news for day trippers: The adventure trail in Flögeln, which has long been dilapidated and therefore closed, is being modernized to make it handicapped accessible. In this way, it can be used by even more visitors.
