This is stop 5 of the Reynaert Cycle Route in the municipality of Sint-Laureins, an attractive cycling route revolving around the medieval animal epic "Van Den Vos Reynaerde." The route follows polder roads and creeks, taking you past ten Reynaert statues by Chris Ferket. These depict the chickens Pinte and Sproete (daughters of Cantecleer the rooster), who in the story carried the litter on which their sister, murdered by Reynaert, lay.

The picturesque St. John the Baptist Church is a single-nave church built in 1682 and thoroughly restored in 1984. Above the portal is a niche with a sandstone statue of St. John the Baptist from 1646. The building has a beautiful Rococo and late Baroque interior.
