Soria Moria is a sauna artwork on the lake and the first installation in the "Vannvegens fortellinger" / "Tales of the Waterway" project.

A highlight of the place is the Dalen Hotel, one of Norway's oldest wooden hotels on the Telemark Canal and known as "the hotel from the fairy tales". It opened in 1894 in a grand romantic style with dragon heads, spiers and spiers, balconies and cornices.

From the center of Dalen in Telemark, a steep 810-step stone stairway built by Sherpas from Nepal leads up to the Rui homestead. This is a route with historical roots and along the way you can learn more about the two special sisters who lived here.

On the vertical bluff above Dalen is Rui, the homestead where sisters Ingrine and Gurine lived. They became known across the country as "the girls from Rui who came to the king". The path is steep and leads over a staircase built by Sherpas from Nepal, but the way is not long at all.
