This church is the largest of the seven stone churches in Sogn og Fjordane and is also known as the parish cathedral. The building has so-called coffin walls up to 1.5 meters thick. She has no tower. Below the waterfall, the trail can be very wet and slippery, and it's hard to avoid an accidental shower.

In June 2022, huge masses of water rushed over the rocks. A strong wind also swept the spray onto the path below. Walking was made considerably more difficult because it was totally soggy, muddy and slippery. Within 1 minute I was soaked from the spray.
