In winter, the lake is fantastic for ice skating; when there's enough ice, a 14-kilometer circular track is cleared to create an ice rink. Skates are available for rent on-site on weekends.

Along the lake you will find an easy lakeside path with frequent water views, small beaches and short forest sections. The shore promenade is well maintained and ideal for relaxed walks or runs, while the rise toward Bunkebergsåsen adds a slightly higher vantage point. A calm, scenic stretch with regular access points and benches.

A small rocky hill in Hansta Nature Reserve named in honour of Astrid Lindgren, who helped protect the area. At the top you’ll find a simple stone marker with her name.

A nice stretch of the trail with wooden boardwalks leading across open wetlands. Easy to walk and a good way to keep your feet dry while enjoying the views over the marsh and surrounding forest.

A peaceful section of the trail that leads you straight through quiet, mixed forest. Soft ground underfoot, tall trees all around and plenty of calm moments along the way.

A spacious barbecue spot with two grills and plenty of seating. Firewood is often stocked at the start of the weekend, so chances are good you’ll find some when you arrive.

In this forest, you'll hike through primeval-looking coniferous woods, and centuries-old oak trees also stand here. In spring, the forest slopes are covered with a carpet of bluebells. Bird lovers have a good chance of spotting species such as common buzzards, shrikes, goldfinches, yellow sparrows, and ravens, and with a bit of luck, even cuckoos, cowrie shells, and lesser spotted woodpeckers.

Many fallen trees on the forest parts which one needs to deviate or jump over sometimes!
