We stayed here months in advance because it was the only available overnight accommodation with a dog – for €200 per night per person, plus an additional £20 for the dog. For over €400, we had a very nice but small room of about 12 square meters with a small bathroom in one of the barracks behind the main building. Modern and bright, but small, and there was still hair from the previous occupant in the bathroom (which was immediately removed after we pointed it out; we also got an extra drink with dinner). It's definitely not worth the price and is significantly below the standard of the Best Western in Crianlarich. They're clearly exploiting their monopoly position here. We found the restaurant to be upscale compared to other pubs. But so are the prices. The reception and restaurant staff were super friendly. But that's what we've found everywhere else in Scotland.

Bridge of Orchy (Scottish Gaelic: Drochaid Urchaidh) is a small town in Scotland, in the Argyll region of the Scottish Highlands, on the A82 road. Bridge of Orchy is located 2 km south of Loch Tulla and has a railway station on the West Highland Line. Bridge of Orchy is situated in the north of Glen Orchy, close to the River Orchy which flows out of Loch Tulla. It is on the West Highland Way, a long-distance footpath from Milngavie to Fort William. The bridge for which the town is named was built around 1750 by British government troops as part of the pacification of the Highlands.

ScotRail (Scottish Gaelic: Rèile na h-Alba) has been the brand name for all regional and commuter rail services in Scotland since September 1983, including some cross-border services, and for many intercity services within the country. Since 2008, it has been the permanent name of the Scottish commuter rail service, regardless of the train company operating it. The ScotRail service was renationalised on 1 April 2022.

There is a pedestrian tunnel🚶‍♀️to cross the railway 🚂 . We missed this and were all ready to cross at the vehicle crossing before heading back when we saw the no trespass signs.🚷
