This is the first of the several reservoirs that the Ésera River finds along its route. Specifically, the water collected here is used in the Eriste hydroelectric plant, through a system of canals built in the 1950s that cross the mountain through the Estós valley to the waterfall above the town of Eriste.

The Cubera bridge, also known as the stone bridge, crosses the Ésera river, in the Benasque valley. This stone bridge, of probable Romanesque origin, is built with masonry rigs of irregular shapes. It has only one eye, with a semicircular arch, and its profile is that of an irregular donkey's back, since one slope is longer than the other. The bridge road is made of ashlar, including some small sidings.

The historic spa of Baños de Benasque was active from the beginning of the 16th century until 2019, when it was permanently closed. The use of the water from these baths has been documented since 1522, when the Benasque apothecary Francisco Frigoiti administered them. In 1801 the first building was built, which was successively improved and expanded over time, including a reconstruction after the Spanish Civil War, when the building was burned. The difficulties of maintaining road access during the winter months and the cost of renovating the current buildings led to its closure in 2019.
