우크 무자코와 주변 인기 장소
Unfortunately, the Fairytale Forest circular trail from Zelz onward is so overgrown that you'll need a bush knife/brush cutter. Brambles, nettles, and man-high grasses—it's a shame it's not maintained. 09/2025

Between the old trees, where the Neisse River flows leisurely, lies a bridge that is more than just a crossing. It connects two places that were once a single village – Zelz and Siedlec – and were separated by history and geography for decades after the war. Today, bicycles once again roll here instead of border patrols. The Neisse Valley Bridge was opened in 2008, after more than sixty years of waiting and planning, as a visible symbol of the partnership between the German town of Zelz and the Polish town of Trzebiel. Anyone traveling here today not only crosses a border, but also a piece of European reconciliation. From the German border post under the large oak tree, you have a beautiful view of the technical structure – unspectacular and, precisely for that reason, touching. Cyclists like to briefly push their bikes aside, look across the river, and take a photo. Perhaps also because the place exudes a quiet solemnity – and because history doesn't intrude here, but rather sits quietly there.

Update: The "Ziegenhof zur Wolfsschlucht" (Wolfsschlucht Goat Farm), or rather its owner, has retired. Not to be confused with the Ziegenhof-Pusack GbR, located at Pusack No. 4, toward Köbeln. This one is still open!

Observation tower on Lake Africa with a completely stunning view of not only the lake but also the entire area - green and blue (especially in summer) - a total blast!

Anyone traveling along the Oder-Neisse Cycle Path and thinking there are no more surprises hasn't yet experienced the "Black Pit." A name like something out of an old fairytale book—and that's exactly how it feels when you immerse yourself in this forest. The path narrows, the light is filtered, and the noise of the world stays outside like an unwelcome guest. Here, in the nature reserve near Jerischke, they stand close together: small-leaved lindens, pedunculate oaks, hornbeams, and beeches—old trees with a gnarled character. The ground is soft, the leaves are fragrant, and somewhere a bird calls, seemingly in no hurry. No wonder some simply call this section the "Fairytale Forest." Those who rest here might hear the moss breathing—or at least their own heart. The "Black Pit" isn't a tourist hotspot, but a place that lives in silence. One that shows that not every attraction has to be loud. And that sometimes the best thing is simply to stop for a moment, take a deep breath, and realize: I'm here. In the middle of the forest, in the middle of now. For cyclists, this section is more than just a passage – it's an invitation to dismount. To look. And maybe even to marvel. Because anyone who rides through this forest with their eyes open will take away more than just kilometers: a feeling of peace, of grounding – and a little touch of magic.

On this section, the Oder-Neisse cycle path leads through the wide and green Neisse terrace near Zelz. The surrounding area is characterized by large fields, fallow land and strips of forest, which give the cycle path a rural, idyllic atmosphere. Especially in the summer months, you can feel the peace and seclusion of nature here as you cycle leisurely along the Neisse. The steady hum of the insects and the gentle wind blowing through the fields make this section a pleasant and relaxing part of the route.
