The village of Tavers is crossed by "Le Lien," a peaceful river that rises near the hamlet of Feularde. It receives several springs, fed by the Beauce aquifer. The "Fontenils" spring is the most beautiful: the gushing water creates bubbling formations known as quicksand. The clay bed, the water's clarity, and its very low mineral content give it a translucent blue appearance. These Blue Waters are what Tavers is famous for! Follow the hiking trail "The Blue Waters and Turning Stone Trail."

The lake covers 180 hectares, making it the largest in the Sologne. Originally created in 1864 to supply the Sauldre canal with water. Now partly developed as a recreational area: beach area, hiking trails, water sports (sailing, ski-nautique, pedalo), and an ornithological reserve. For nature lovers: you'll find a rich bird life (cendré heron, grèbe huppé, etc.) and diverse flora along the banks. For families: picnic areas, a beach area in the summer, and playgrounds.

Viewpoint at the Barrage d’Éguzon: impressive views of the dam and lake over the Creuse River. The rushing water and the reflection in the lake create a sense of tranquility and power. A perfect spot to pause and enjoy the combination of nature and technology.

It is impossible to cross the dam. It is a private area that cannot be crossed.

Do not take the walk after a wet period. A large part of the paths is heavily flooded.

From the bottom of the dam, you will have to carry the bike, then push to swallow the 80 meters of altitude difference and enjoy the view.

The Bretonnières park contains a huge water point around which many water activities are organized. Walking enthusiasts can enjoy the many trails that spread throughout the park and its wooded areas. Benches, picnic tables and play areas are available all around the park.
