What you should know about Seoraksan National Park is that the hike to Geumgangul Cave is really beautiful and challenging, as it goes very steeply uphill on rocks and stone steps. Nice view of the waterfall, a bit distant so. Pretty hard hike upstairs. Almost the same view is possible from the lower platform of the cable car.

Nice walk, however if you continue to the observatory be prepared for a pretty hard steep walk up.
