A very pretty church with an unusual roof. Located right next to the Parliament.

The roof of the church is made of polychrome glazed tiles depicting the coat of arms of Zagreb (white castle on a red background) and the coat of arms of the unification of the kingdoms of Croatia, Slavonia, and Dalmatia. The roof was installed in 1880. The church tower is topped with an onion-domed bell tower (Wikipedia).

Located in the Dotrščina Forest (northeast of Zagreb), this park is the site of over 7,000 civilian executions between 1941 and 1945, carried out mainly by the Ustaša. Today, it is a vast sculptural memorial designed between 1963 and 1968 by Vojin Bakić, with several works by other artists such as Branko Ružić, Stevan Luketić, and Kosta Angeli Radovani, forming an abstract ensemble evoking mourning rather than an explicit narrative.

The Grič Tunnel is a pedestrian passageway that runs beneath the Upper Town, the historic heart of the city. This 350-meter-long tunnel was built during World War II to provide shelter for the local population during bombing raids. This underpass later served as a refuge for Zagreb residents during the 1991-1995 war.
