A visit requires a bit of stamina, as the path includes many steps: Length: approx. 1,370 meters. Duration: Approx. 70 minutes. Steps: A total of 860 steps. Temperature: Constant 5°C to 6.3°C – so be sure to bring a jacket, even in summer! Ascent: From the parking lot in Tatranská Kotlina, a forest path of about 1 km leads steeply uphill to the entrance (approx. 25-minute walk).

We were hiking this trail yesterday and there were no longer such a sign on the main trail, only on the offroad. There are only one thing you should know - you are not allowed to go this trail in the time defined by TANAP.

The rooms of the Shelter offer picturesque views of the aforementioned peak, the Dunajec Gorge, the Red Monastery and the Bielskie Tatras on the Slovak side. Looking out the window, you can see raftsmen floating down. The Shelter offers cheap accommodation in the Pieniny Mountains. We currently have 50 beds in 17 rooms for 2, 3, 4 and 5 people.
