This ancient rock formation has attracted visitors for thousands of years, and the surrounding scenery, rock formations, and legends add to its mystical charm. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area also features ancient man-made holes where seeds were ground into flour and hundreds of archaeological sites.

Marshall Lake has a multi-use trail around it. The trail is paved and is relatively wide and flat, so a great place for families. There are plenty of parking spaces, and you'll also find toilets at the far end of the car park.

Eagle Mountain Lake covers 8,738 acres and has a maximum depth of 47 feet. The lake is technically a reservoir, formed by damming the West Fork of the Trinity River. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and watersports. Visitors must obtain a valid Texas fishing license before fishing.

Nicknamed for its resemblance to a lighthouse, this iconic sandstone tower rises high above the canyon floor, offering amazing views. Hike out to this geological wonder to admire its unique shape and sheer vertical walls formed by millennia of wind and water erosion. A stunning photo op!

This is a beautiful view, regardless if you're a geology enthusiast or not. The resistant sandstone beds of the Quartermaster and Tecovas formations are prominently exposed, while the overlying Trujillo and Ogallala formations have eroded away. This erosion creates dramatic geological features like the hoodoos, which are visible here. Massive Trujillo sandstone also caps the mesa to the north called Timber Mesa, home to the iconic formation "Santana's Face" by the Trading Post.
