The old Main bridge to Kreuzwertheim was formerly a railway bridge. The steel structure with the rails was dismantled at the end of the 1980s. It can still be seen in old photographs.

The ruins of Wertheim Castle, situated at the confluence of the Main and Tauber rivers, are among the largest and most beautiful stone castles in southern Germany. From classical music to rock, from comedy to world theater, impressive events take place in a picturesque setting.

For me, this is one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in Germany. The feeding sessions with the animal keepers, which take place twice a day, are fantastic. If you want to take photos with a tripod, you have to register in advance, and it costs extra.

Spanning over 134,000 square meters, the Bad Mergentheim spa park, with its vibrant floral splendor, mighty trees, and manicured green spaces, offers an oasis of relaxation. Admission is free and open at any time!

The castle pond in Bad Mergentheim is part of the castle park, a sprawling, English-style park. It is an artificial lake fed by streams and features an island with the "Schneckenbuckel" (snail hump).
