St. Anthony's Chapel was consecrated on July 29, 1925. The foundation stone had been laid eleven years earlier, and the chapel's completion marked the end of a turbulent history. After the war, it took another seven years before work on the chapel was resumed, inspired by the encouragement of Pastor Josef Rupp, who had been installed in Heilbrunn in 1924.
