The Waldhaus Wilhelmsthal was built around 1780 as a guest house for Wilhelmsthal Castle in the Biedermeier style. From 1903 to 1906, the Waldhaus was extensively remodeled and subsequently used as a residential and administrative building for the forestry administration. From 2000 to 2006, the building underwent extensive renovations and subsequently served as the home of an art association. Since 2022, the building has been used as a seminar center with event rooms and overnight accommodation. It is also the home of the Kulturgut-Wilhelmsthal e.V. association.
