This hike may be moderately difficult for experienced hikers and include "easy trails," but it definitely lacks any warning that you shouldn't be afraid of heights. Scrambling over rocks high above the gorge is borderline dangerous if you, like my fellow hiker, are afraid of heights. These are definitely not easy trails; at the first waterfall, you even have to pull yourself up over a rock using a rope. No problem for experienced hikers willing to take risks! We had to turn back 🤷♂️

Great hike. We took the tunnel to the lake. It was an exciting highlight: walking barefoot through a very narrow tunnel with about 10 cm of water. Behind it, a beautiful little lake. Since the bridge behind the waterfall/at the aqueduct is unfortunately destroyed, we skipped the last part. It's a shame, but safety first ;)

From the waterfall onwards the path is officially closed and unfortunately you cannot go any further.

The very steep descent consists of loose scree. In some places, it was impossible to stand because the slope began to move. The only support we had was the barbed wire fence.

There is now a construction site at waypoint 11, the path is basically closed. We didn't know this and didn't want to take a detour, so we climbed cross-country, but that was more risky than time-saving. Be careful and re-plan if necessary before you start!!

The waterfalls here cascade over rocks in the lush, forested landscape. You'll often hear the gushing water before you see it. You can explore this paradise on well-maintained walking trails, just make sure you wear grippy footwear as the wooden boardwalks can be quite slippery.

After the extremely hot summer of 2023, the stream has almost completely dried up. We have rarely experienced something like this in the fall. Nevertheless, the path is always impressive.

We couldn't find the specified parking space in town. The first kilometers (still far after point 1) and the last kilometers lead through the town and along busy streets and are anything but shady. Would recommend skipping this part and parking closer to point 1. The first part was really not nice for hiking. But the main part is AWESOME. Be sure to stop by the tavern.

Don't forget good water shoes, nothing for slippers or bare feet. Very nice tour through the water over waterfalls and some swimming spots. You can store clothes at the top of the tavern (at the end of the steep stairs).

Always worth a hike. You can also go up to the tavern; and on the other side back down to the stream, then you have saved the first two Wasserfäkke and can enjoy the wild and romantic valley behind.
