This hike may be moderately difficult for experienced hikers and include "easy trails," but it definitely lacks any warning that you shouldn't be afraid of heights. Scrambling over rocks high above the gorge is borderline dangerous if you, like my fellow hiker, are afraid of heights. These are definitely not easy trails; at the first waterfall, you even have to pull yourself up over a rock using a rope. No problem for experienced hikers willing to take risks! We had to turn back 🤷‍♂️

Great hike. We took the tunnel to the lake. It was an exciting highlight: walking barefoot through a very narrow tunnel with about 10 cm of water. Behind it, a beautiful little lake. Since the bridge behind the waterfall/at the aqueduct is unfortunately destroyed, we skipped the last part. It's a shame, but safety first ;)

From the waterfall onwards the path is officially closed and unfortunately you cannot go any further.

The very steep descent consists of loose scree. In some places, it was impossible to stand because the slope began to move. The only support we had was the barbed wire fence.

There is now a construction site at waypoint 11, the path is basically closed. We didn't know this and didn't want to take a detour, so we climbed cross-country, but that was more risky than time-saving. Be careful and re-plan if necessary before you start!!

Since the bridge is destroyed, no way back to the road from the waterfall is possible in May 2024

Attracted by the smell of resin from the oriental sweetgum tree, thousands of butterflies cavort here between June and September. The Russian bear, as the butterflies are called, mates here in the valley, lays its eggs here and is therefore very important for the preservation of its species.

The entire valley is crossed by a stream that gushes over the rocks and stones in many places in small waterfalls.
