The chapel was planned and built by Paul Bammert from Oggelsbeuren, but unfortunately he was unable to complete it before his death. Many of the town's residents completed it after his death; a beautiful and quiet place for one's own thoughts.

The history of the power plant begins in 1877, when two turbines with a total output of 172 hp were installed in the town mill in Munderkingen. In 1890, Stadtmühle Munderkingen AG was founded to continue operating the city mill that had gone bankrupt. After the weir was increased, the turbines produced 205 hp from 1904 onwards. With the participation of Robert Bosch GmbH, the Munderkingen Electricity Works was founded in 1911 and expanded into an intercity power station with electrical stations in Burgrieden, Ersingen, Munderkingen, Riedlingen, Rißissen, Schemmerberg and Stetten. The Munderkingen power station and with it the Stadtmühle Munderkingen power station were taken over by the Upper Swabian Electricity Works Association (OEW) in 1914. The power plant finally came to EnBW via the Energie-Versorgung Schwaben (EVS), to which the generation capacities and networks had to be handed over in 1939. The water rights lie entirely with EnBW, as the original water rights of Karl Mohn's power plant (now the location of the Dommühle) were also transferred to the Munderkinger plant when it was taken over by the OEW in 1918.

The second beaver building is currently being built on the Mühlbach on August 26th, 2020, let's see how long the building will last.
