In 1924, the Barons von Tessin traveled from their estate in Hochdorf near Vaihingen an der Enz to Walddorf, where they both intended to go hunting. During the hunt, a shot was accidentally discharged, lodged on a branch, and struck one of the brothers in the back, killing him. It is suspected that this was not a hunting accident, as a year later the widow's brother proposed marriage to her, which she refused.

The Kindlesbrunnen (Children's Fountain) is located in the Köchinbrunn area, which indicates a spring. The name Kindlesbrunnen derives from the fact that storks used to fetch children from this spring and deliver them to their families.

At the “Steinbrennershaus” hiking parking lot, there is an orientation board for hikers indicating their current location and providing an overview of the Schönbuch forest and surrounding area.

The Eichwasen Fountain, also known as the Kaiserbrünnele, is located on Steinbruchweg near Walddorfhäslach. According to information from workers at the former landfill, the fountain was originally constructed under the direction of the head of the municipal works department, Udo Kaiser. This is why the fountain is also called the Kaiserbrünnele in Walddorf.
