Visually, it's a very beautiful spot that immediately catches the eye. The surroundings are also very beautiful and interesting.

The narrow gorge is beautiful. The steps should be used with caution when wet or, for example, when covered with damp autumn leaves.

Contrary to its name, the ruins are closer to Hütten than to Justingen. A narrow path leads up to the castle near the cemetery parking lot. It is more easily accessible from "above" via a wider path. Due to its width, this path is not legally open to vehicles. It is very narrow (30 cm) and partially covered with leaves, with stones and roots in the wooded section. The path runs along the steep slope with several switchbacks requiring turning.

The ruins are beautifully situated, and the view extends over the whole of Schelklingen. The tower is open every first Sunday of the month from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. between May and September. There is also a bench below the tower from which you can enjoy the view particularly well.

This church above the village of Hütten was dedicated to the Archangel Michael. The name (from the Hebrew language) means "Who is like God?" He is often depicted - in paintings or as a statue - with a flaming sword, occasionally also a lance. Michael is - together with Raphael and Gabriel, and occasionally Uriel is also included - one of the three or four archangels who (according to human belief) occupy the highest rank in the heavenly hierarchy of angelic beings. Their common feast day in the calendar of saints is September 29th.

On the beautifully landscaped duck island, the birds are frolicking around ready to forage. The brown trout are in the crystal-clear waters of the Aach. Here, the fauna along the natural course of the water can really be experienced.
