In good weather, you could simply lie down under one of the large trees and relax, or use one of the benches. The park is surrounded by the Schloßberg (on which stands Lobdeburg Castle), the Pfaffenberg (with the Georgstein rock formation on top), the Einsiedlerberg (with the AnnaStein rock formation), and to the south, the Lobeda housing estate. You can't see the Kernberg hill from here.

The approximately 3-hectare park in Jena-Drackendorf was laid out as an English landscape garden in the second half of the 19th century. Particularly striking features of Goethe Park are two giant oak trees, a copper beech, and a teahouse built within the grounds.
