The historic workers' settlement in Kuchen was commissioned by the factory owner Arnold Staub and built between 1858 and 1887. The small house likely dates back to the 1880s and is located in the SBI Park in Kuchen. It is part of the town's historic workers' settlement. Based on its unique design, the building was probably built as a private chapel for the cotton industrialist Arnold Staub, but it was soon used as a garden pavilion for the estate's villa. The cycle path along the Fils River has been closed since June 2024 due to a landslide. Initial reconstruction work is currently underway, with a goal of summer 2025. :-( After a major effort by the construction company, the Fils Valley Cycle Path along the Fils River near Kuchen has been fully open to traffic again since March 30, 2025.
