A completely different heath than expected. The juniper heath in the Tillenberge nature reserve offers a very pleasant sandy and barren heath landscape. Here the focus is not on the heather but rather on the grasslands with the juniper trees. Sheep keep the landscape free of excessive tree growth. Very impressive and worth a stop 👍

1857, when Clemens Graf Droste zu Vischering Erbdroste had the Catholic Church of St. Mary built. Part of the southern moat was filled in so that the church could be placed next to the southern part of the three-wing complex running north-south on the Unterplatz. This part of the commercial wing is still there; the other building, which protrudes to the west, was demolished.
