The fruits are known for their high vitamin C content and are used primarily in food and beverages, as well as skin care products.

A well-maintained beach with a sweeping view of the water. Food and drink are available at the mini-golf course or at the campsite (which also houses the Oase restaurant). The "Zierow Strand" bus stop is approximately 200 meters from the beach. A bus to Wismar departs every hour (30 minutes to the central bus station).

Although the former fishing village with its Low German hall houses is a listed building, it is not a museum village, but rather a residential area directly on the Bay of Wismar. Hoben borders the natural shore of the Bay of Wismar.
