Stone on the avenue towards Wotersen Castle

This remarkable half-timbered house, dating from 1798, stands on Bergstrasse in Sahms. Above the large entrance gate is the following inscription: "Hinrich Gottfried Burmester Anno 1798".

The Sahms Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1908 and found its place in the first fire station with all of its equipment. The second building was then used for expansion and had a cistern with a capacity of 60,000 l in the basement.
